Probably the most important museum on Pelješac is the Maritime Museum in Orebić.

In addition to the said museum, there is a museum of votive paintings and gifts in the Franciscan monastery in Orebić.

In Ston, there is a significant museum collection exhibited in the Lapidary, the external collection of the Archaeological Museum of the Dubrovnik Museums.

The Museum of Wine and Viticulture is the newest museum, opened in Putnikovići.

Saltworks Ston
SALTWORKS

The Ston saltworks is the oldest and largest preserved saltworks in the Mediterranean. Its current appearance dates back to the time of the Dubrovnik Republic, and the whole system perfectly represents the production of salt from the Middle Ages. The method of production has not changed during all these centuries, and ecologically healthy conditions guarantee the maintenance of excellent salt quality.

Orebic attraction is also the Franciscan monastery and the church of Our Lady of the Angels. The view from 150 meters above sea level, where the loggia of the monastery is located, on the Pelješac Channel, Korčula, Mljet, and Lastovo are unforgettable. ..The Franciscans, on the other hand, would respond by ringing the bell from the church bell tower.

Nakovana
NAKOVANA

According to archaeological research, Nakovana has been inhabited for at least 8,000 years, which makes it one of the oldest places with continuous living. During Antiquity, Nakovan was ruled by the Illyrians, whose center was on the hill GRAD. This natural fortress was additionally fortified with strong walls and ramparts. The Illyrian treasure, however, was found by archaeologists in 2001 in Spila , where they found a long-forgotten Illyrian fertility shrine in a well-hidden hall.

Rector Palace Janjina
RECTOR'S PALACE JANJINA

In 1465, the Dubrovnik government built the "Rector's Palace" in Janjina with the state coat of arms and a statue of St. Vlaho, a dungeon, a gunsmith, a warehouse, an apartment and an office for the prince-captain. In the same year, she founded a captaincy through which she exercised her administrative, judicial, and administrative authority.
