About event
The Croatian People's Educational Society "Stoviš" was founded in Ston in 1912, and was named after the tower that dominates the place, a symbol of its freedom and strength. The initiative for the purchase of instruments and the establishment of a brass band started from that Society. The wishes came true and Music Ston was founded in 1929, when it had its first performance. With short interruptions during wars, it has operated successfully for more than 90 years.
Today, Ston Music cooperates with many similar orchestras in the country and abroad and records notable performances at national and international festivals.
Music Ston participated in the Column of Remembrance in Vukovar in 2017 and in Škabrnja in 2018. He is especially proud of the concert in the Sanctuary of St. Leopold Bogdan Mandić in Padova in 2019 at the Meeting of Croats of Italy. In the same year, she received the…
